Reports show that one in ten people tend to increase their sales when confronted with facts, fear or force. You can either choose between the minority or the majority. Sales professional who fall into the minority group are those who are making and probably exceeding their sales goals. Most of these people incorporate their sales skills such as following up on all sales leads as they are not in the majority group.

The report also revealed that only 1 out of 10 sales people are able to make more than three contacts. However, these sale people are able to maintain their relationship with potential customers because they know that 80% of all sales are made between the fifth and twelfth contact.

The sales professional who fall within the majority group don't follow up and also lack goals. They also don't have the commitment to follow the set plan of action. Most of their sales skills are based on marketing approach rather than education based marketing.

In short, sales are like a number game and the numbers indicate an inclination towards the minority group given that majority truly do not understand that the odds are really against them. Therefore, if you know your position then you can leverage them. Based on all these factors, you can create incredible opportunities for success while achieving your goal to increase sales.
