Marketing is highly connected with advertising process. Both go side by said. The trusted definition of Marketing is that it is the process of making customers aware of the products and services of a company. At the same time it helps in boosting the sales of a product or a service by bringing in all kinds of target audience!

Marketing helps keep existing customers interested in a product or services. Coming to the concept of advertising, it plays a very important role in projecting not only the credentials of a company but also helps in catering a product to the end users. It creates a perfect brand image in front of the customers. But both advertising and marketing are entirely different from each other. But both are incomplete without each other.

Coming back to marketing, it is a process of planning and executing the pricing, at the same time it takes care of promotion related techniques, plan as to what should be the means of distribution of goods, ideas, and services in the marketplace. There are basically two major characteristics of marketing - the first one is to expand the existing customer base and the second ones deals with the proper retention of the customers who are already loyal to the product or service.

Marketing strategy deals with Four Ps—product, price, promotion, and placement. Pricing deals with the overall price range of a product or a service and is a process by which the price of a product is determined. When we talk about promotion, it is the collaboration of various methods of promoting the product, brand, or company. The third characteristic is called: Placement or distribution is a method that deals with a procedure that ensures that the product reaches the marketplace.

Place automatically refers to where a product or service is sold.

Here is the tested definition of Advertising” It is the paid promotion of goods, services, and ideas by an identified sponsor. There are various methods by which a company can advertise their products; some of them include publicity, public relations, personal selling and sales promotion.

That is why it is said that marketing and advertising go side by side. If you will invest all your money in the advertising process but will not give any focus on marketing, then your strategy will fail. And same goes for advertising as well.
