The Eastern astrology is event oriented, which tells what happened in the past as well as what will happen in the future with much grater accuracy. Horoscopic astrology is the method to analyze the birth charts of individuals in order to read character, psychological traits, and sometimes individual's destiny.

Arab era astrology is said to be the immediate ancestor of today's Western astrology. Astrology is also believed to be developed by the Greeks. The type of astrology developed in Babylon is also known as ‘judicial’ or ‘genethlialic’. And this is astrology that most of us are familiar with in recent times. People believe in astrology, because according to psychologists, they are satisfied with astrological predictions as long as the procedures are individualized in some rather vague way.

Astrology is the oldest and most popular of all pseudosciences. It studies the one's nature. This psychological approach to understand the nature of individuals has grown in the past 30 years, and more astrologers develop their counseling skills. Astrology is identified as Magical Thinking, which has given us creationism and most forms of alternative medicine. It is called a pseudoscience, since people typically believe in it for illegitimate reasons. It is the study of the correlation between the astronomical positions of the planets and events on earth. According to astrologers the positions of the Sun, Moon, and planets at the time of a person's birth have a direct influence on that person's character. Well, we can say that astrology is a nice blent of of science, art and craft. The best part of astrology is that no matter how much one learns, he can never embrace the complete knowledge.
