One of the things that our present society tends to shy away from discussion is about mental health disorders. Most people get uncomfortable the moment anyone mentions this issue. The recent statistics indicate that people with mental health disorders are increasing at a rapid rate. The study also revealed that almost one in every three individuals are diagnosed with mental disorders.

It is important to understand that mental health disorders is harmless and timely treatment can cure them. However, it is important to understand that there are also more serious disorders, which can be cured only if proper treatments are provided.

It is sad to know that the general population is not much aware about this issue. If the people are more educated about this topic there would be less fear and isolation. Also, people will not be so embarrassed to come forward and seek help.

Usually, people affected by mental disorder feel inferior and so they become isolated and depressed. Such behavior can aggregate the situation. There are have been situation where people committed suicide. Therefore, it's important that the society become more educated about mental health disorders.

Most people think that schizophrenia, bipolar, eating disorders are termed “mental health disorders.” but, you'll be surprised to know that attention deficit disorder and depression also belong in this category. Hence, it is high time to start education about mental health disorders. People will become less afraid about this issue if they become more familiar with it.
