Education is an essential part of our lives, just like food and shelter! Like our other basic needs, food cloth and shelter, education is also considered basic to everyone's life. In other words, like food is for health, shelter for the body, education is for the mind!

Education helps one to enhance his/her knowledge, and knowledge is power! But, power that a person acquires from education depends on how an individual uses it. In other words, some people may want to use their knowledge and power for the benefit of themselves; some may also use it in the destruction of mankind! We can also say, education is the knowledge of putting one's potential to maximum use and makes a person a right thinker. Education guides and tells him how to think and how to make decision.

This is where the importance of education lies. For many education is for their personal development, but education should also be geared up for social development or betterment. Education should be the key for creating, applying, and spreading knowledge on individual as well as national levels, thereby enhancing the development of dynamic, globally competitive economies.

Every state should promote education, since it is the only means to understand its history, culture and to some extent their religion. Education can be the means to unite a country, and its people as a nation. In other words, education is a must in a nation aspires or wants to achieve growth and development and most importantly to sustain it all! Therefore, the importance of education cannot be neglected by any nation, in fact in today's world, it has become even more vital. Education is the a necessity for economic and social development of any nation as a whole.
