  • Be late
  • Constantly checking your messages throughout the day will give a bad impression.
  • Unprepared. If you think your charisma or connection can get you through a job interview. Then, it's high time to start thinking otherwise.
  • Ramble. If you go on rambling and distract from the topic then it will reduce your chances of getting selected.
  • Avoiding eye contact with the interviewer.
  • Make sure to prepare certain questions for the interview. Since, you don't want to sit dumb when pointedly asked whether you have questions.
  • If wait for the interviewer to ask you the "right" set of questions. Then, you're dream of getting selected will remain a dream.
  • It is important that you don't interrupt while the interviewer is speaking. You may feel as the questions that you want to ask is more important but it's better you wait for the interviewer to finish speak.
  • Try and give a good impression about your previous company and employer. Bad mouthing about your previous employer will show that you're a complainer and disloyal.

So, if you don't want to sabotage your interview it is better to keep the following points in mind. Getting selected for a job interview is difficult especially during the time of recession. Hence, avoid derailing your candidacy with this type of self-inflicted damage.
