Are You Going Through Teenage Weight Pressure?

Are your teenage children very conscious of what they eat? They call this phenomenon “Diet” but we call it "teenage weight pressures."

Teenagers often face a massive problem when they become self-conscious of what they eat. They become obsessed with the fact that “How do they look”? What are they wearing? It is because they are easily affected by their classmates and want to copy them when it comes to how they look.

If they are on a healthier side, then it can really cause a lot of personal and psychological problems for them. But the fact is that if your child is eating properly and exercising in the right way, then he / she can grow the in perfect way as he / she should grow at his / her age. But when teenagers find them selves a little overweight, they tend to get disheartened at times, which leads them to take drastic steps to loose weight via several methods. They opt for methods like skipping meals or even limiting their food intake to half of what they normally eat but this is a totally wrong way to control weight.

Because they are still in the growing phase of their lives, skipping meals is not the best thing to do. Even diet programs for adults do not arbitrarily recommend skipping meals. The best thing is to eat the right diet that covers all the nutritional needs of a body that are required for further development and growth of the body.

Here are a few guidelines that can help in achieving a better weight loss technique than the normal ones:

  • Walking is the best and the most effective exercise for weight loss especially when it is applied to teenagers.
  • One must exercise at least thrice a week to keep the belly fat in check.
  • Try drinking grape juice thrice a week. It will help you to lose your weight in a more faster and effective way.
  • Fiber content food like raw fruits, vegetables and grains etc. are very good fat fighters especially for teenagers. These should be taken on a daily basis.
  • One must have at least 50% of natural raw foods in their everyday food diet. Avoid food items like potatoes, rice etc. so that you escape much of the starchy foods in your diet.
  • You must drink at least 5 to 6 liters of water everyday as it serves as an important ingredient for weight loss for teenagers. The plus point is that it will provide you with healthier skin sans PIMPLES AND ACNES!
  • If you are planning to include exercise in your daily regime, then make sure that you do it for at least 30 minutes every day.
  • Eat fruits as much as you can. You don't need to skip your meals but rather you can add fruits
  • in your diet. Citrus fruits serve the purpose very well. These fruits are highly nutritious, healthy and rich in fiber.
  • Take part in as many sports activities as you can. Try to make at least one sport a part of your hobby.
  • If the teenager is having bad eating habits, then it will act as the biggest obstacle when it comes to loosing weight. Part of your diet regime should be instilling discipline and self control as well.

So I hope that these tips will help you in making your child get rid of the teenage weight phobia in a better way.
