Spicy Food and Wine Pairing

Tell me are you planning to throw a wine party/ but what are your snacks for the party? Try including spicy snacks that are one of my favorites. You must be thinking that it is a difficult task. The fact is that trying to find wine to match a spicy meal is considered a very difficult task, and is actually considered impossible by a majority of people. But let me tell you that this statement is not true, at least not completely false! It is difficult but it can be achieved.

We all know that a party is incomplete without the involvement of curries and other spicy things in a party as all these things are extremely popular the world over, but still a majority of party lovers are unaware that it is possible to enjoy a glass of wine at the same time. Now you will believe all this when you will order your meal, and it is not just about wine, you can also go with with a glass of water, or possibly a beer if they are being adventurous. But tell me that the next time when you will visit your local curry house, what are the kinds of wine that you will choose for your party?

Well, the first thing that you will never want is to get indulged in wine drinking with your meal is to have the flavors fighting with each other. No matter what type of food you are planning to order, whether it is spicy or sweet, but it is all the more difficult to avoid when dealing with spicy food. That is why I always say that wines with high alcohol content are a strict NO NO!

Here I am talking about big wines as well as high content wines like spirit. With a spicy food, you should always go for a wine with a lower alcohol content, say around 10%! One more tip that is related with a wine tasting experience and a spicy food is that you can go with a sweet or fruity wine will that will definitely work well in your favor. Why I am saying so is that the sweetness of the wine acts as a soothing factor against the spicy flavor of your food!
