The Procedure Of The Game

Before the dealer begins distributing the cards, each player is supposed to make his or her initial bet. The game then begins when the dealer deals the initial two cards to each player along with him or herself.

The cards of the players are either face up or face down. It depends upon the kind of casino that you are in but one of the cards of the dealer is always face up so that the players can view it. The players should have a look at the cards of the other players lying on the table just for reference in order to gauge the left over cards in the deck. Most dealers are dictated to never stop "hitting" before they reach a value of 17 or "bust" which means having a value over 21. Some dealers will stop at a "soft" 17. “Soft” refers to an ace within the hand. If your hand is closer to 21 points than the dealer's hand, then you will win your initial bet.
