When one talks about Jazz, one just can't help but talk about Louis Armstrong. He can be considered to be the father of the present day Jazz. The credit of transforming jazz from a strictly instrumental music into a complicated blend of solo and ensemble sound goes to him. His “Listen Hot Fives And Sevens” was released in the year 1925.

In the field of jazz, multiple and diverse talents collaborate together to achieve a common target. So, jazz can serve as a perfect model for learning how to work effectively in a team. Especially, when in every kind of organization or business, team efforts are required.

Willing Support: Appreciation is the best way to boost the confidence of the team members. Hence to win over their willing support, the team members should be appreciated for their efforts and should be asked to do what they enjoy doing the most. If people enjoy what they do, then only their true creativity will come to light.

Virtuosity: The team leaders should be virtuous enough so as not to overload the team members with work because it will hamper their performance capacity. Rather, they should be equipped with resources that will help them in developing their skills and in mastering the competencies required to do their jobs.

Optimism: An optimistic outlook is the key to success. It can help you to overcome all the negativities and hurdles obtruding in your paths. Recurring changes may tend to frustrate the team members. So, their attention needs to be focused from the very beginning, so that they can easily encounter the forthcoming challenges.

Mutual Respect: Mutual respect is another important ingredient for the success of a team. Respecting ones colleagues will help in building up mutual trust as well. Presenting your own opinions is not sufficient, listening and understanding the views of others is also equally significant. Debate is not the keyword discussions are required. In debates, you will keep defending your own positions, but in discussions ideas fruitful for the team will emerge out.

Good Will: Good will of the team members need to be taken into consideration, what they value the most etc. It will not only create a good environment, but will also attract exceptional efforts. If the will of the members is considered, then they will definitely put in their best efforts.

Making It Feel Good: There goes a famous saying by Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." so creating a pleasant atmosphere of joy and delight is also important. It will also enhance the efficiency of the members.
