Concept of God in Hinduism

In the religion of Hinduism, the concept of God goes much beyond than considering Him as the supreme power. According to the Hindu mythology, God not governs the whole universe, but also develop a relationship between every human being with Him. So, a person can God out of love and not only out of fear. Devotion also commonly known as bhakti is a form of love that every followers of Hindu religion have for God. It is one of the key principles behind Hinduism.

Many scriptures on Hinduism defines God beyond any attributes of form, color and shapes. The believers consider God as someone who doesn't have any specific form or name. He is referred as Nirguna brahman (attribute-less god). Though, the followers believe that God has the ability to take any form. He is both strong and powerful, as well as destroyer or savior. These forms provide a basis for the Hindu worshipers to pursue the supreme deity.

As per the Hindu mythology, the supreme God can do anything. He is very powerful. The world and everything on it happen according to his commands. The believers also believe that God can create this world and destroy it completely in a fraction of second.

Hindus also believe that God knows everything. Nothing can hide from Him, as He knows it all. They also believe that he is present everywhere. So, nothing can exist without Him. He has records of the past births of every creature and knows what an animal or person will do in its present and coming lives. Everything is governed and directed by Him. Hindus believe that God creates the whole cosmos/ world.

One of the best facts about Hinduism is that it allow the followers to experience, and understand the concept of God. The glory of God has been explained in the Puranas. There are also scriptures like Upanishads that use questions and reasoning to explain the concept of God. Texts like the Yogasutras cover the whole scope, from reasoning to divine glory of God. All these scriptures and texts are known to explain things that are beyond the comprehension of the normal human being.
