Usually, to communicate information using text or image the methodology of visual designing or graphic designing is employed. For applying typography and page layout, image development is used. However, when it comes to online visibility for websites then you must consider SEO (Search Engine Optimization) part as well.

As we all know that, SEO helps in achieving higher ranks and draw more traffic to a website. Therefore, it is important that a web designer incorporates the following SEO elements to ensure maximum effectiveness as a business model.

  • Headline of the web page should contain relevant keywords. It is one of the first things that a search engine notices.
  • Do not stuff your website with images make sure to use text links as well. It will allow the content of the website to be easily linked out.
  • Make sure the menu for the websites are created on the left side. If not, then put some text with rich keywords on the top or on the left side of the menu. This step will ensure that your text are read first.
  • To reduce the size of web pages use cascading style sheet and java script. It will also make the download more quick.
  • Do not use more than 9 words in the title. Even the description of the website shouldn't be upto 20. Make sure to contain all the relevant keywords in the content.
  • Avoid using frames because many search engines cannot scrawl them.
  • Flash also make the downloading process much slower so if possible avoid them.
  • To make scripting code easily manageable use HTML and web page creator software.

While designing a website make sure to keep these tips in mind. You must understand the SEO principles clearly to deliver the expected results.
