  • Take weight loss one day at a time. You might find yourself going off the rails by not seeing the results, if you check the weight once a month. This doesn't mean that you watch yourself everyday. Keep a diary of all the activities you have done in 24 hours to lose your weight. Reward yourself with something for the hard effort you have put in the entire day.
  • Do small changes with your lifestyle. In this case, don't make massive changes overnight. Wake up every morning with a plan to eat fruits and vegetables whole day. If you are not an active person, don't start a four hour exercise program. You can exercise for 10 minutes on first day. This can include any activity like dancing, walking etc. Increase the schedule by 1 minute till you do 20 minutes a day exercise.
  • Being isolated from friends means that even the best weight loss program won't work for you. Getting support from family member and friends will keep you on track.
  • Do not compromise on carbohydrates till you really want. It has been seen that many people unknowingly suffer from a massive carbohydrates withdrawal and put on more weight. Make a slight change in your lifestyle and avoid eating carb after 3pm.
  • You can also add some weight training into the weight loss program. It does not require you to buy dumbbells, but this can be done by two cans of tinned soup also.
  • You can put a picture of yourself overweight at a spot and see it everyday. Along with this, put a photo when you were slimmer, this will motivate you.
  • Avoid fizzy drinks. Sodas are pure sugar, which turns into unstored fat. So, its time to try out something new.
  • Never go for shopping with an empty stomach. Also try to limit the intake of junk food.
  • It is a bad idea to skip meals. Skipping meals means you become more hungry and then you hang on to snacks or other junk.
  • Use small plates. You can eat like others bu your portions will be smaller. Eating water before or after the meal is a great way to feel full.
