Food is an another way to have fun. But, while having your favorite food, weight issue obviously comes to  your mind. But, it doesn't mean you strive of your diet. There are ways, if you are willing to lose weight while having your favorite food. Its just a matter of changing your food habit. To be on a diet and lose weight does not necessarily mean you have to fast or torture yourself by turning away from all the foods you like. This article will tell you tricks that can help you eat less and lose weight without even feeling like you are on a diet at all:

Eat slowly and chew your food longer

Slow down! When you eat fast, you end up ingesting more food before your body has a chance to figure out that it's satisfied. Many people take bite after bite of food and barely chew it before swallowing. It's very bad! It doesn't help you, in fact you may put on weight. Eat slowly specially when you are having chocolates, cookies, chips and ice creams.

Eat without distractions

Take your food at your dinning room. Don't allow anything to distract your mind from the food. For example, when you watch TV while eating, you have the tendency to eat more than when you don't. Turn off the TV or refrain from reading while eating. Instead, eat at the table and enjoy your meal.

Set your table

A proper atmosphere can make your food more appealing and enjoyable. By creating an atmosphere, you become more aware and mindful of what and how much you eat. So, manage to have your food in right place- be it at home or outside.

Eat smaller portions

Eat less, more often. Rather than eating large meals, chop up your eating into smaller portions throughout the day. Divide your day into three meals. If possible, have a little heavy breakfast in the morning, followed by a bit lighter lunch, then a light dinner. That is enough to keep you from feeling hungry while still eating less in total.

Vary your diet

Vary your diet and eat foods with a variety of colors. The taste and texture of different foods makes them more satisfying and more visually appealing. Eat vegetables before the main course. It helps you taking less of the dense stuff like meat or fish to be happy.

Don’t eat late at night

Don't eat right before going to bed. Take it early. If you have a habit of late night sleeping, you may feel like eating something. Don't eat again, instead drink water in plenty. It's better you have your dinner around 9 pm and go to bed at midnight.

Limit alcohol consumption

Kick your daily habit of having alcohol. Remember, alcohol equals empty calories! It only helps you in gaining weight.
